ROGER ARVE VIGULF - CLARINETS AND FOUNDER

Roger Arne Vigulf

Educated at the Norwegian State Academy with Richard Kjelstrup; chamber music with Torkil Bye and Leif Jørgensen. Further studies in Copenhagen with Lee Morgan. Soloist, chamber musician and composer. Has toured as soloist in Bosnia-Herzegovina, USA, Lithuania, Ireland, England, Finland and Norway with, among others, Vilnius National String Quartet, Cicada String Quartet, Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, Lithuania Chamber Orchestra, Klaipeda Chamber Orchestra, Calstate University Jazz Orchestra and Disobedient Ensemble (LT). As an orchestral musician he has been engaged by the Norwegian Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra (KORK), Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, Harstad’s Armed Forces Wind Band, Halden and Oslo Philharmonic. Soloist appearance on Nartional Norwegian TV with Kaare Ørnung. Several recordings for NRK Radio P2 with, among others, Bjarne Sakshaug, Thomas Nilsson, Magnus Søderberg and Finn Henry Olsen. Vigulf has released 3 solo CDs and participated in 10 international recordings. In April 2011 he was invited to a gala banquet at the Royal Palace during the state visit of the Lithuanian President. Member of the Norwegian Society of Composers, Gramo, Norsk Tonekunstnersamfund and Tono. Vigulf started Ensemble KammerKlang together with Bjørn Norvall Hoemsnes on June 9th 2018, but the ensemble began its concertizing activities on March 15th 2019, which is to be regarded as the official beginning of the group. Since the spring of 2022 Vigulf also serves as chairman of the board for Ensemble KammerKlang.
